Gladys Csik's Obituary
Gladys Csik, 86, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 12:45 p.m. at Bel-Air Care Center. She was born on March 2, 1923 in Maximo, and lived in the Alliance area all of her life. Gladys was a mother of four daughters and was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Donnie) Woodburn of Salem, Carol Csik of Salem, Rose (Frank) Lanham of Alliance, and Joyce Elson of Alliance; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Jones of North Benton; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Andrew Csik; her parents, Allen A. Oswalt and Maggie E. (Polus) Oswalt; three sisters and three brothers. Graveside services will be held at Alliance City Cemetery on Monday, September 14, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Plegge of Holy Lamb of God Church officiating. Interment will immediately follow.
