Gertrude J. Murphy's Obituary
Gertrude J. Murphy, 77, of Alliance, died on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 3 :00 a.m. at Altercare of Alliance. A lifelong resident of Alliance, she was born on August 19, 1927. She was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Gertrude retired from the Royal China Company where she had been employed as a ware stripper. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Murphy; two sons, Ernie Murphy, Jr. and Mark Murphy; a sister, Alice Mellert; two brothers, William Miskelly and Robert Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Jennie (Gosgrove) Miskelly; and a brother, George Miskelly. Private services will be held. There will be no calling hours.
