Geraldine "Gerry" Taylor's Obituary
Geraldine "Gerry" Taylor, 87, of Alliance, died on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 10:05 p.m. at her home. She was born on February 7, 1920 in Fort City, Pennsylvania, and lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a member of the First Christian Church and also the Lady Shriners Patrol. Geraldine retired from the William Penn Club, where she was employed as a co-operator and treasurer. She also worked for Alibi Inn, Alliance Manufacturing, Royal China Company and was an aid at Alliance Community Hospital. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed feeding the birds, working her crossword puzzles and taking care of her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Wilbur "Zack" Taylor whom she married on May 24, 1941; a daughter, Bonnie (Richard) Kinney of Alliance; a son, Gary (Michele) Bowman of Alliance; a grandson, Richard (Bowman) of Alliance; a granddaughter, Sheila (Michael) Scaia of Alliance; two great-grandchildren, Tiffany Bowman and Dustin Bowman; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Nora (Walker) Bowser; a sister, Bernice Marazza; and brother-in-law, James Marazza. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Pamela Bruno of First Christian Church officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
