Gerald "Killer" Syme's Obituary
Gerald "Killer" Syme, 60, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 5:00 a.m. at his residence. Born in Alliance on April 2, 1945, he had lived in Alliance all of his life. Mr. Syme retired from Transue and Williams where he had been employed as a leveler. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the F. O. Eagles, the Roma Society, the Moose Lodge, and the Dante Alighieri Society. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Stout) Syme, whom he married on July 30, 2005; two daughters, Lesia and Ammie, both of Alliance; a son, Gerald of Alliance; five grandchildren; a sister, Garlene Lewis of Mt. Zion, IL; two brothers, James Syme of Beloit and Leonard Syme of North Canton; several nieces and nephews; best of friends, John and Linda Ciotti, and Richard and Carol Longerberger; and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Glena (Jones) Syme. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
