Gerald M. Frank's Obituary
Gerald M. Frank, 72, of Alliance, died on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 10:45 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born on January 6, 1935 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life. Mr. Frank was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg. Mr. Frank was a retired millwright from Sancap Abbrasives, formely Armor s. Gerald enjoyed working on his farm for most all of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Randy) Bourne of Louisville; his son Anthony "Tony" Frank of Alliance; three grandchildren, Kirstin, Bradley and Allison; three sisters, Eileen Dugan Caruso of Alliance, Gertrude (Fred) Drayer-Kaltenbach of Winter Springs, FL, and Rosemary Sollazzo of Alliance; three brothers, Urban (Louise) Frank, Ronald (Gerry) Frank, and Warren (Linda) Frank, all of Alliance; brother-in-law, Bill Kinser of Homeworth; and many nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Drayer) Frank on November 13, 1987,whom he married on July 9, 1966.; his parents, Maurice and Margaret (Schieser) Frank ; two sisters, Christina Kaltenbach and Clara Kinser; and three brothers, Lester Frank, Norbert Frank and Orval Frank. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert, as celebrant. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
