George J. Vitalarii's Obituary
George J. Vitalarii, 80, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 1:25 pm at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
Born on June 30, 1942 in Alliance, to John and Mary (Thomasson) Vitalarii, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
A 1961 graduate of Alliance High School, George was employed at Alliance Machine Co. as a Fitter and retired after 40 years of service.
He was a member of the NRA and an avid skeet shooter.
George enjoyed motorcycle riding, attending car shows, trains and was the family videographer. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sport events.
Survivors include his wife, of 59 years, LaVera J. (Blake) Vitalarii, whom he married on June 29, 1963; two daughters, Deanna (David) Snyder of Alliance and Tracy (David) Schillig of Alliance; granddaughter, Kandace (Jeff) Best; three grandsons, Corey, Joshua and Justin; two great-grandsons, Brayton and Brady; a brother, John (Jean) Vitalarii III of Louisville; nephew, Jonathan (Jessica); great-nephew, Dominic; and two great-nieces, Sofia and Gianna; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, George; and a brother, Michael.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:30 am - 11:00 am at Martindale Christian Fellowship Church. His Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am with Steve Manko, officiating.
