George R. Scheuerman's Obituary
George R. Scheuerman, 81, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 12:02 p.m. at his home. He was born on March 13, 1929 in Baltimore, MD and lived in Alliance for the past 16 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was employed as a Long Shoreman at the Port of Baltimore. He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Wetzel of Baltimore, MD, Theresa Gabriel of Baltimore, MD., and Christine Shumaker of WV; four sons, Milton Scheuerman of Baltimore, MD, Louis Scheuerman of WV, Charles Scheuerman of Alliance, OH and Edward Scheuerman of Baltimore, MD; twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Anstine of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Robert Scheuerman of Glen Rock, PA and Chester Scheuerman of Baltimore, MD; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Shirley (Presley) Scheuerman on November 20, 1989, whom he married on September 2, 1951; a son, Walter Scheuerman; his parents, Robert and Marie (Kiebler) Scheuerman; two sisters; and three brothers. The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home in Dundulk, MD., on Sun., Dec. 26 & Mon., Dec. 27, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm.
