George Saunier Jr.'s Obituary
George Saunier Jr., 87, of 2312 Cherry Ave., Alliance, died at 4:00 p.m. November 15, 2006, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. He was born on May 10, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio, had lived in the Alliance area since 1920. Mr. Saunier graduated from Alliance High School and attended Cleveland Institute of Art for two years. He was employed by the Alliance Machine Company, Saunier's Furnace Cleaning, Goodyear and Saunier's Pie Shop. Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Charles) Andrie of Stow and Nancy Saunier of the home; two brothers, Richard (Thelma) Saunier and Donald (Norma) Saunier, both of Alliance; a grand- daughter, Marie Andrie of Kent; two grandsons, Charles Andrie of Litchfield, Ohio, and Michael Andrie of Munroe Falls, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Agnes (Martin) ; son, George Saunier III; and parents, George and Dora (Grewe) Saunier. Memorial services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance, on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Following the memorial service, family will receive friends at a luncheon at the Schwartz Center.
