George Majernik's Obituary
George John Majernik, 93, of Sebring and formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Born on August 3, 1925 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania to John and Mary (Kurtz) Majernik, he lived in Sebring for the past four years.
George was member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a past member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
A veteran of WWII, he served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the VFW in Whitehall.
George was employed at Boeing as an Aeronautical Engineer and retired in 1989 after 35 years of service.
George enjoyed golf, traveling, reading and cooking.
Survivors include his son, John Majernik of Rootstown, OH; his daughter, Carla B. Majernik of Missoula, MT; four grandchildren, Matthew J. Majernik, Phillip R. Majernik, Justin P. Majernik, and Dylan Cembalski; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Marie, and Esme Majernik.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Martha Majernik and his parents.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring, OH. Burial, with military honors, will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies near Pittsburgh.
