George L. Fisher's Obituary
George L. Fisher, 42, of Alliance, died on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at his residence. A lifelong resident of Alliance, he was born on July 25, 1961, and was a graduate of Alliance High School. He had been employed at Hendrickson Trailers as a welder-robot operator. George was a 20 year member of the teamsters union and enjoyed fishing. He was also a drag racing fan. He is survived by his wife, Lou Sherman Fisher, whom he married on December 21, 1985; a son, Garrett Fisher of Alliance; his parents James and Barb (Ludlam) Fisher of Alliance; his in-laws, Leo and Betty Sherman of Alliance; a sister Shannon Metzger of Alliance; a brother, John (Janet) Fisher of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will held Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at 6:00 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Peters officiating. There are no calling hours.
