George V. "Bud" Doyle, Jr.'s Obituary
George V. "Bud" Doyle, Jr., 85, of Maximo, died on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. at Sterling House of Alliance. He was born on February 8, 1926 in Maximo and lived there all of his life. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and was also a graduate of Franklin University in Chicago. A veteran of World War II, he served our country in the U. S. Army and was stationed in Germany, where he received the Purple Heart from injuries sustained. He was a member of the D.A.V., Chapter 50. He was a self-employed television repairman and had previously worked at the former Specht s TV & Appliance. In his past-time, he enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his wife, Irene M. (Specht) Doyle whom he married on July 30, 1949; two daughters, Denise (Tom) Ertle of Massillon, OH and Debbie (Darryl) Babbo of Maximo, OH; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Doyle of Alliance; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his son, Dennis G. Doyle; his parents, George and Nettie (Brown) Doyle, Sr.; two sisters; and one brother. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maximo on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Ungashick, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Maximo. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Sterling House and the Alliance Visiting Nurse & Hospice, and all those who have cared for Mr. Doyle during the past several years. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
