Gary D. Young's Obituary
Gary D. Young, 81, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 1:45 a.m. at his home.
Born on October 12, 1934 in Salem, Ohio, he was a 1952 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and lived in Alliance for most of his life.
Gary retired from Marlboro Manufacturing as a Plant Manager in 1996 after 42 years of service.
He was a member of Dante Alighieri Society, Fraternal Order of Eagles # 2174, Sons of American Legion, and the VFW #3747 Canton.
Gary enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, bowling and was an avid Notre Dame fan.
Survivors include his significant other, Sue Ellsworth of the home; three daughters, Cindy (Joe) Rogel of Alliance, Debbie (Patrick) Lombardi of Alliance and Sherie (Randy) Heck of Navarre; two sons, Greg (Laura) Young of Carrollton and Tim Young of Clarksburg, WV; sixteen grandchildren, Ryan Rogel, Tarah Kolodny, Kenzie Miller, Abbey Rogel, Jenna Lombardi, Jaaron Lombardi, Leah Kramer, Evan Heck, Emma Jusseaume, Jensen Rogel, Adam Young, Luke Heck, Jory Lombardi, Sarah Heck, Naomi Young and Andrew Heck; 8 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judie DiMilta; 3 nephews and 2 great-nieces.
Preceding him in death was his father, Art Young and his mother, Bernice Seaborn.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
His Funeral Service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 am, with Rev. Thomas P. Dyer, of St. Thomas Aquinas, officiating.
Interment will take place in Green Haven Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions are suggested to The Salvation Army, 57 West Main St., Alliance, OH 44601.
