Gary David Furgiuele's Obituary
Gary David Furgiuele, 76, of Alliance, died on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 6:53 pm at Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton, following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on October 19, 1942 in Alliance, graduated Alliance High School in 1960 and lived in Alliance most of his life.
Gary was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
He was a veteran of the Korean war, serving our country in the U.S. Army in the DMZ. He stayed true to his unit’s motto: "STRONG AND TOUGH AND READY ROUND THE CLOCK".
Gary was employed at Ford Motor Company as a Certified Machinist until October 1993, and was the Owner and Operator of Al & Dave's Pizza Shop in Minerva until July 2003.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristina K. Phillips of Alliance; sister, Kathy (Thomas) Israel of Alliance; brother, Dennis (Karen) Furgiuele of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen Furgiuele (November 21, 2002 and January 6, 2014 respectively); and his wife Bonnie R. (Goad) Furgiuele on May 14, 2003.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
