Fred Bertolini's Obituary
Fred Pete Bertolini, 72, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 5:34 a.m. at St. Joseph Emergency Room in Andover, OH. Born on September 11, 1940 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Fred was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from General Motors after 34 years of service, where he was employed as an Inspector. Mr. Bertolini was a member of the Roma Society, the Dante Alighieri Club, and the U.A.W. In his past-time, he enjoyed coaching youth football and baseball, fishing and bowling. Survivors include his wife, Linda (Bissett) Bertolini of Alliance, whom he married on January 27, 1962; a daughter, Brenda (James) Libbey of Texas; a son, Craig (Melony) of Greenwood, SC; six grandchildren, Ryan, Fawn, Alexis, Nicholas, Brandon, Brody; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Cotton of Canton; a brother, Jerry (Sheryl) Bertolini of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Pete and Mary (Spada) Bertolini. His funeral service will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. There are no calling hours. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
