Frater McNabb's Obituary
Frater McNabb, 81, of Alliance, died on Friday, March 22, 2002 at 2:51 p.m. in the Emergency Center of Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on April 2, 1920, he had moved to Alliance on June 7,1941. A member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, he retired from Morgan Engineering Co. where he had been employed for over 33 years. He had previously been an employee of Taylorcraft. Mr. McNabb enjoyed bowling and loved to travel. He was a member of the Christopher Columbus Society and of the Dante Alighieri Society. He is survived by a sister Edna McGee of Tennessee; two brothers, Hubert and Paul McNabb, both of Tennessee; a sister-in-law Hilda Conti; five brother-in-laws, Nick, Joseph, Alfonse, Albert and Frank Conti; nieces, Joyce Marazza and Joanne Green; and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife Nettie T. (Conti) McNabb on Oct. 24, 1999 (they were married on Feb. 14, 1943); a son, Charles McNabb; his parents, S. William and Mary Ann (White) McNabb; two sisters, Leona Wilcox and Bertie McGee; and three brothers, Charlie, Joe and Clifford McNabb. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 26, 2002, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
