Frank L. Schubert's Obituary
Frank L. Schubert, Sr. 71, of Alliance, died on Sunday, August 14, 2005, at 2:18 p.m., at the Alliance Community Hospital. Frank was born on April 18, 1934, and lived all of his life in Alliance. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, Sgt. Schubert served in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the Alliance Tubular Products as Maintenance Foreman on October 30, 1995 after 39 years of service. In his youth, Mr. Schubert was an avid baseball player. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, artistic painting, building guns and spending time with his family. Mr. Schubert is survived by his wife, Agatha A. (Russo) Schubert, whom he married June 26, 1965; two daughters, Cathy (Brett) Livengood of Alliance, and Christi (Michael) Landers of Boardman; five sons, Tom S. Moore of Navarre, Tony D. (Martha) Moore of Homeworth, Steve F. (Dr. Sandy) Schubert of Cambridge, Frank Schubert, Jr. of Canton, and Leonard Schubert of Alliance; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; Step-father, Casey Hall of Alliance; two sisters, Rose Shipp of Ocala, FL, and Nancy (Ed) Jarvis of Alliance; one brother, Leroy (Ginger) Gantz of FL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank George Schubert and Rose (Farkas) Schubert-Hall; sisters, Donna Jean Lamp, and Twila Weibush. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 17, 2005, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
