Frank B. Schneider's Obituary
Frank B. Schneider, 85, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 10:03 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. He was born on December 29, 1925 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life. Frank was a graduate of the 1944 January Class of Alliance High School. A veteran of WWII, he served our country in the U. S. Army at Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses. Mr. Schneider was a machinist at Alliance Machine Co., and retired after 43 years of service. In his past-time, he enjoyed watching Ohio State Football, woodworking, working on his cars and spending time with his family. He is survived by three daughters, Joan (Ken) Runion, Judy (Jerry) Sacco, and Karen (Doug) Carli all of Alliance; three sons, Gary (JoAnn) Schneider of Alliance, Bruce (Jamie) Schneider of Alpharetta, GA, and Steve Schneider of Alliance; five grandchildren, Dominic Sacco of Alliance, Craig Sacco of Alliance, Vinny Schneider of Columbus, Tony Schneider of Alliance, and Lawrence Smith of Alpharetta, GA; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Nadine Scott of Alliance. Preceding him in death was his wife, Bruna (Mazzetti) Schneider on December 18, 1995, whom he married on May 12, 1951; his parents, John and Maria (Gabel) Schneider; two sisters, Mary Burtnett and Annie Gallina; and four brothers, John, Mike, Bill and Tom Schneider. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Glen Moser of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
