Frank Cironi's Obituary
Frank Cironi, 94, of Alliance, died on Monday, February 23, 2009, at 12:15 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on April 21, 1914 in Bridgeville, PA, Frank lived in Alliance most of his life and graduated from Alliance High School. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Frank retired from the Transue Williams Steel Company in 1973, where he was employed as a foreman. Mr. Cironi was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Christopher Columbus Society and the National Association of Civilian Conservation Corps Alumni. Franks greatest passions were golfing and Notre Dame football. He is survived by a daughter, Linda (James) Rostash of Monroe, MI; five grandchildren, Laurie Sullivan, Lynne (Frank) Jere, James (Kelli) Rostash, Susan (Robert) Dimitriou and Emily (Daniel) Henry; eight great-grandchildren, Joseph, Alexander, Molly, Lydia, Aidan, Isabella, Marisa and Jimmy; three sisters, Evelyn Watts of Orange, CA, Betty Alexander of Northville, MI and Roslyn (Richard) Berry of Naples, FL; and many nieces and nephews. On August 17, 1940 he married Barbara Malich. They had one daughter, Linda (James) Rostash. His wife died in 1985. On August 28, 1992, he married Sylvia Benedetto. She died on May 8, 2008. He was also proceeded in death by two brothers, Edward and Louis Cironi and two sisters, Bridget Artino and Martha Yeagley. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
