Frank E. Bycraft, Sr.'s Obituary
Frank E. Bycraft, Sr., 76, of 732 E. Waugh St., Alliance, died on Sunday, February 3, 2002, at 11:45 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital Emergency Room. Born in Warren, Ohio on March 4, 1925, he had lived in the Alliance area for most of his life. A veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Anny, he was a member of the William Penn Club and had been a long-time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Mr. Bycraft retired from the Alliance Public Schools, and had also been a mixologist at the Alliance Country Club, the Warren Country Club, Fitzpatrick's, and Madison's. Survivors include his wife Patricia J. (Hoover) Bycraft (whom he married on September 11, 1948); four daughters, Kathy King of Zepher Hills, Fl, Patty Snyder of Alliance, Joanne Bandy of Alliance and Sylvia Crider of Spartenburg, SC; two sons, Frank E. Bycraft, Jr. of Beloit and Joseph Bycraft of Alliance; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Fredenburg and Lois Cramer, both of Warren, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert Bycraft and Lillie Bycraft-Ference; and a brother, Chuck. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Jordan officiating. Burial will take place at Alliance City Cemetery, following cremation. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
