Francis A. Eskay's Obituary
Francis A. Eskay, 93, of Alliance, died on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 12:05 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on October 8, 1919 in Leetonia, OH, he lived in Alliance most of his life. He was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. He retired from Transue & Williams, where he was employed as a machinist for many years. Survivors include four daughters, Corenne Eskay of Alliance, Susan (Robert) Platt of North Canton, OH, Kathy (Wynn) Feess of Alliance and Karen (Jim) Moseley of Georgetown, KY; two grandchildren, Kyle (Emily) Feess of Westerville, OH and Courtland Moseley of Georgetown, KY; one great-grandson, Jackson Feess of Westerville, OH; two brothers Robert Eskay of Leetonia, OH and Paul Eskay of Salem, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary "Mayi" (Peters) Eskay on February 14, 2003, whom he married on April 26, 1941; his parents, John and Victoria (Dubiel) Ohotnicky; four sisters, Victoria, Margaret, Julia and Ann; and three brothers, Steve, John and Joe. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Friday, June 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
