Frances Elizabeth (David) Baxter's Obituary
Frances Elizabeth (David) Baxter, 70, of Alliance, died Monday, December 22, 2003, at 2:25 a.m. at her home surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 13, 1933, in Uniontown, PA. she had lived in Alliance since she was 18 years old. Mrs. Baxter was a 42-year member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She was employed as a plant clerk at the Alliance Water Department for 29 years and belonged to the National Notary Association. Her family was her greatest joy. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a proud, courageous, loving woman who worked hard all her life. She had a love for sports and was an avid Steelers and Indians fan. Above all, she loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. Fran is survived by four daughters, Kathy Ann (Jim) Jarvis of Alliance, Karen Marie (Terry) King of Alliance, Julie Lynn Baxter of Cuyahoga Falls, and Jennifer Lee Baxter of Alliance; one son, Michael Patrick (Peggy) Baxter of Alliance; five grandchildren, Brad, Jessica, Andrew, Taylor, and Olivia; five step grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; four brothers, Fred Hawk (Elsie) David, Simon Junebug (Lucy) David, John (Maxine) David, and Joseph David, all of Uniontown, P A; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Anna (Stepanik) David; and a sister, Anna Marie David. The family will receive friends at the Sharer- Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, 2003, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Monday, December 29, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Interment will take place at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery in Uniontown, PA.
