Faye J. Turner, 88, was born January 2, 1927 in Cramerton, North Carolina, and died July 15, 2015, in Tucson, Arizona.
She was retired Registered Nurse and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Col Charles E. “Gene” Turner, who died at age 69, on December 27, 1999, who was cremated in Tucson, Arizona. He was the son of Clarence E “Tuck” and Mary E (Masters) Turner of Alliance, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and then 26 years in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service.
Gene and Faye are survived by three daughters; Tracey Maas of Idaho, Kim Insley of Virginia, and Rhonda (Gordon M.) Crissman; four grandsons, Willie Maas and Ben Turner, Gene Insley, and Darl Crissman, one granddaughter, April Insley; and six great-grandchildren.
Gene is also survived by two sisters; Mary Jo Fahey of Alliance and Patricia Baier of Florida.
Faye is also survived by two brothers George Roberts of Kentucky and Joe Roberts of North Carolina.
A brief ceremony will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Fairmount Memorial Park Chapel, where Charles E.” Gene” and Faye J. Turner will be laid to rest.
Memorial contributions may be made to Caring ministries or Gospel Rescue Mission in Tucson, AZ.
