F. Paul Tennis' Obituary
F. Paul Tennis, 77, of Alliance, was reunited with his wife, Hazel, on Thursday, July 20, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Born on March 7, 1940 in Alliance, to William R. and Beatrice W. (Baker) Tennis, he lived in Alliance all of his life.
An Alliance High School graduate, Paul completed a plumber’s apprenticeship and continued on to obtain his Master Plumber’s License.
Paul served our country in the U.S. Navy and retired from Chrysler Corporation in 2003 as a Pipe Fitter.
He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1036, American Legion, Post 166, the Saxon Club, Dante Alighieri Society, and the Louisville Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Paul enjoyed dancing, swimming, boating, bowling, and attending his grandkids games and programs. His beloved dog, Boss’co, accompanied him everywhere.
Survivors include his two daughters, Terri (Greg) Jones of Alliance and Lisa (Clint) Higgins of Sebring; two sons, W. Paul Tennis of Alliance and Steven C. Tennis of Alliance; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis (Bill) Biggs of Alliance and Mildred "Midge" (Mike) Newman of Alliance; two brothers, Leonard "Sonny" (Peggy) Tennis of Savannah, GA and Bruce (Helen) Tennis of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Hazel M. (Davis) Tennis, whom he married on November 24, 1962 and passed away on October 23, 2012; and his parents.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Joshua Smith officiating. Burial will take place at Alliance City Cemetery.
