Everett "Neil" Bray's Obituary
Everett "Neil" Bray, 69, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 5:15 am at his home in Alliance following a nine-month battle with cancer.
Born on October 17, 1948 in Mt. Lake Park, Maryland to Everett Benjamin and Ruth (Peck) Bray, he lived in Alliance most of his life.
He was a graduate of Southern High School in Oakland, MD, and was a veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving our country in the U.S. Army.
Neil was employed at Davey Tree as a Foreman and had retired in 2011 after 39 years of service.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time with his family
Survivors include his wife, Arletta "Kay" (Maxwell) Bray, whom he married on January 2, 1973; his daughter, Melanie (David) Stowe of Salem; two sons, Everett "Tim" (Nancy) Bray of Alliance and Todd Joseph Bray of Alliance; six grandchildren, Neryssa Stowe, Justin Stowe, Raeyanne Bray, Riley Bray, Ethan Bray and Jeffrey Bray; two sisters, Carma White of Kitzmiller, MD and Darlene Davis of Mt. Storm, W.VA; a brother, Wayne Bray of Astor, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Margaret Eloise Dennis; and two brothers, William and Everett T. Bray.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
