Evelyn J. Smith's Obituary
Evelyn J. Smith, 84, of Alliance, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 5:38 p.m. at her home, surrounded by her family. Born on November 30, 1928 in Imperial, PA, she lived in Alliance the past ten years. Evelyn was a member of First Christian Church in Minerva. She was employed as a nurse's aide in many hospitals and nursing homes during her career. In her past-time, she enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Albert Smith, whom she married on December 24, 1946; two daughters, Cheryl A. Rudder of N. Canton and Sandra K. (Thomas) Eyler of Alliance; two sons, Earl K. Smith of Alliance, and Terry L. Smith of Michigan; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, William and Robert Agin of Toronto, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her mother Martha (Brand) Agin; and a sister, Lois Jane Lafond. There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
