Evelyn Lucille Funk Miskovch's Obituary
Evelyn Lucille Funk Miskovch, 94, of Deerfield, died on Thursday, April 29, 2004 at Akron City Hospital. Born in Leavittsburg on July 12, 1909, she lived in the Alliance area most of her life. A member of the First Christian Church, she was a retiree from Alliance Community Hospital. Mrs. Miskovch was also a member of the Daughters of America for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Snyder of Alliance and Carolyn (Gerald) MacBride of Deerfield; two sons, William (Nancy) Funk of Lugoff, S. Carolina, and Thomas (Linda) Funk of Alliance; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Claudia Green of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, Matthew Miskovch; her first husband, Harold J. Funk; an infant daughter, Barbara Jean; a son-in-law, Robert Snyder; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her parents, Frank and Pearl (Merwin) Green; and two brothers, Otis and Loren Green. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, May 2, 2004, from 6 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 3, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
