Eva McKnight's Obituary
Eva (Mancini) McKnight, 78, of Alliance, left this world on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 11:40 a.m. at Canterbury Villa of Alliance, following a long illness. Born on August 21, 1934 in Alliance, she lived here all of her life. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and had previously been a member of their Altar & Rosary Society. Eva had worked with her husband Donald at their Service Station, Don s Amoco, for many years. In her past-time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking and her dogs. She leaves behind her son Joel (Ginny) McKnight of Alliance, daughters, Roselea (Timothy) Smith of Alliance, Shelley (Mircea) Ciban of Alliance & Marge Russell of Louisville; grandchildren, Angie (Mike) Green, Stephanie McKnight, Jessica Smith, Teresa Smith, Michele Ciban and Nick Ciban; great-grandchildren, Emmalee Green and Garrett Green; brother, Angelo Mangino of Alliance, two wonderful sister-in-laws, Elanore Mangino and Josephine Mancini; and several nieces and nephews. As she ascends into heaven, her husband Donald L. McKnight is at the gate awaiting her arrival. We believe she ll have a few choice words for him as always. She will also be with her parents, Luigi and Rosario (Toppi) Mancini; brothers, Andrew Mangino and Premo Mancini, her sister, Josephine Deathridge; her niece, Patricia Gray; and a granddaughter, Christina Smith. There will be quite a reunion when she meets up with her sister-in-law Helen Mangino and her nephew Thomas Mangino. We will miss her dearly, but it is greatly satisfying to know that she has so many loving family members to greet her. Thank you, God, for taking her home. P.S. Hope she has a seat next to Helen for Bingo. A Memorial Mass will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following the Mass, there will be a gathering and a luncheon in the Parish Hall. Interment will take place at a later date at Alliance City Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S. Union Avenue, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
