Eva May Hopkins' Obituary
Eva May Hopkins, 80 of Alliance, died on Friday, August 16, 2002, at Akron City Hospital. Born in Moultrie, Ohio on March 16, 1922, she had lived all of her life in the Alliance area. Mrs. Hopkins was a member of the Union Avenue United Methodist Church and frequently attended services at her childhood church, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Franklin. A 1940 graduate of Minerva High School, Eva was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She leaves behind her daughter Sondra Craig of Alliance; her daughter and son-in- law Myra and Michael Zink of Alliance; four grandchildren, Christopher Craig, Cass Craig, Rebecca Zink and Samantha Zink; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lake R. and Nellie (Felger) Hahn; her husband, Robert Hopkins on March 15, 1986; a sister Dorothy Donaldson and a brother Duane Hahn. Funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gordon Ruggles officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 20, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
