Eugene Orzo's Obituary
Eugene Nickolas "Geno" Orzo, 70, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2005. He was born December 17, 1934 to Emil N. and Caroline N. (Hitz) Orzo of Marlboro. Eugene attended Marlboro schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959, attaining the rank of Specialist 2nd Class as a communications instructor. Mr. Orzo was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles He was employed as an electrician and retired from American Steel Foundries. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, and flying. Eugene is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frances P. (Salisbury) Orzo; two sons, Brian Scott (Bridget) Orzo of Alliance, and their children Taylor, Alexis, and Chloe, and Dr. Michael Eugene (Michelle) Orzo of Dublin, Ohio, and their children Alexandra and Nicholas; his brother, William of Louisville; four sisters, Carolyn Huff of Tennessee, Marjory Pieprowski of Louisville, Linda Zwick of Louisville and Karen Sue Babin of Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Marilyn Trieff and a brother James. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke funeral home on Monday September 12, 2005, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Richard Dutson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. Gene touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
