I am so sad to hear of the loss of your Mama, but rejoice with the Angels for her Heavenly ascent. What a wonderful lady! I met her when I moved to Alliance with my parents and stayed at my Aunt Bessie and Uncle Leroy's house, just a few doors away. I was so amazed at the hometown store and the 'penny candy"! When I married, we got our meats and banana popsicles from Mr. Mike and Etta or Nettie was always at the register. I cherish those days and getting to know your family. God bless you all.

i want to send my deepest sympathy to you & your family n the passing of your mother.
I didn't get to know her as much as I did you, your sister & your Dad. I would bring my
kids in when they were little to get penny candy. They were always so patient with all
the little ones trying to figure out what they wanted. Your mother was a beautiful lady
inside & out. Then after I moved west, every time I came back to visit I would stop down on the corner to get me lottery tickets & a few stacks.I always enjoyed coming in there,
Right up until you were almost empty to close. You stayed open longer than you
should have but kept it open for the neighbors to have the basics they needed. Tha't
how your mom & dad run the place, always looking out for their customers.
p.s I moved back to Ohio 4 yrs ago. I live in Silver Lake.

Your mother was a beautiful woman in appearance and in her heart. She was a special lady. Loved coming to the store with my mom and dad who thought the world of your parents when I young.

My real early special memories was at the Korosy Farm. My dad worked on the farm for your family and loved doing it. I remember the barn, the big bull which I was so afraid of but loved to go in and see as I clenched the hand of whoever would take me in. We had so many special meals outdoors as one big family. Special memories are never forgotten. May God give you peace.

I so remember Etta from when I took care of her husband when I worked for Alliance Hospice. They were both darling people. She always had a cup of coffee for me. She was such an enjoyable woman. I want to thank her son for running the store and taking good care of them. This picture of her is exactly how I remember her. But with her apron on. :). My sincere condolences to all of her family.
