Esther T. (Zeni) McCann's Obituary
Esther T. (Zeni) McCann, 88, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 5:55 am at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Alliance. She was born on April 19, 1926 in Alliance, Ohio to Isadore and Louise (Giovanazzi) Zeni and lived in Alliance for all of her life. Esther was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from Alliance Manufacturing Co. after 42 years of service. She was a volunteer Pink Lady at Alliance City Hospital for many years. Survivors include her son, Terry Lee McCann of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Jackie Lynn Sollanke of Houston, TX; grandson, Ted Emplit; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Pearl Emplit; a sister, Dolores Scaia of Alliance, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isadore and Louise (Giovanazzi) Zeni; sister, Anne Scaia; and brother, Elmer Zeni. Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski as Celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
