Estella V. Harris' Obituary
Estella V. Harris, 73, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 3:50 p.m. at Aultman Hospital. Born on April 11, 1933, in Canton, Estella lived in Alliance most of her life. Estella had been a cook at Shaffer s Diner and the former Kinsey s Country Kitchen. She enjoyed crocheting for her family. She is survived by her husband Virgil S. Harris, whom she married on July 8, 1982; a daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Pilmer of Minerva; two sons, Alfred (Norma) Steed of Alliance and Daniel (Candace) Steed of Moundsville, WV; a step-daughter, Jamie Valenzulea of FL; a step-son, Larry Steed of N.C.; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Glenna Jean Calhoun of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. Estella was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Steed, Sr. whom she married on May 19, 1949 and passed away on February 11, 1978; a daughter, Diana Tschappatt; a son, Michael Steed; parents, Emery and Elizabeth (Evans) Baughman; four sisters, Shirley Leasure, Betty Steed, Eileen Steed and Mary Baughman; and two brothers, Francis Baughman and Jack Baughman. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, April 9, 2007, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Randy Payne of the Alliance Baptist Temple officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
