Estal Loy's Obituary
Estal Fannie (Henthorn) Loy, 76, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 11:09 pm at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born on November 4, 1940 in Jacksonburg, West Virginia to Dencil and Goldie (Cain) Henthorn and was a 1958 graduate of Pine Grove High School in Pine Grove West Virginia.
She lived in Alliance since 1966 and attended the Damascus Friends Church.
Fannie enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets and playing bingo. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, George "Mick" Loy, of Canterbury Villa, whom she married on June 13, 1959; her three children, Steven (Patricia) Loy of Alliance, Debbie (Gary) Utley of Salem, and Cathy (Sam) Gibson of Alliance; nine grandchildren, Shaun (Jamie) Loy, whom she helped raise, Sam Gibson, Jr., Gina Wolfe, Nicole Witham, Kayla Loy, Jennifer Utley, Kimberly Gibson, Taylor Loy and Brandon Utley; several great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Hostetler, Arlene Arnette, Viola Newman, and Vesta Kesler; three brothers, Joe Henthorn, Terry Henthorn and Randy Henthorn; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Lorna K. Loy; two grandchildren, Stephanie Michelle Loy and Courtney Marie Utley; her great-grandson, Dominic Michael Loy; and her brother, Gerald "Rink" Henthorn.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Randy Gobley, of Damascus Friends Church, officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
