Ermes Candusso's Obituary
Ermes Candusso, 89, of Alliance, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013, at 3:49 a.m. at Aultman Hospital. Born on June 5, 1924 in Alliance, he lived in Alliance all of his life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. A veteran of WWII, he served as a gunner on a B-24 in the U. S. Army Air Corps. He retired from Alliance Machine, where he was employed as a machinist for 43 years. Mr. Candusso was a member of Sleepy Hollow Country Club and was a respected competitor in Stark County. Survivors include his wife, Esther L. (Fording) Candusso, whom he married on July 4, 1946; a son, Dany Candusso of Canton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Elsa Immormino of Wadsworth; a brother, Amerigo Candusso of Tucson, AZ; and several cousins. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Laura Weston; and his parents, Remigio and Antonettea (Vidoni) Candusso. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Private interment will take place at Fairmount Memorial Park on Tuesday.
