Erma May Tinker's Obituary
Erma May Tinker, 77, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 8:10 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on April 6, 1934 in Sebring, and lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Tinker retired from China Craft Pottery, where she was employed as a finisher. In her past-time, she enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia. Erma is survived by her daughter, Linda Lee Glockner of Clinton, OH; a grandson, Jason Peters of Canal Fulton; two sisters, Mary Pelger of Alliance and Naomi Sams of Sebring; two brothers, Robert Saunier of Salem and Donald Saunier of Los Lunas, NM; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, James L. Tinker on June 28, 1993, whom she married on July 8, 1949; her parents, Edward L. and Thelma E. (Pritchard) Saunier; and a sister, Jean Tinker. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Delaney Young of the Canton Baptist Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
