Emma Cojocar's Obituary
Emma Cojocar, 94, of Alliance, died on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 1:56 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on May 26, 1913 in Alliance and lived here most of her life. She moved to North Canton in 2002 to reside with her loving and caring daughter and son-in-law, Michael and Mary Jane Yukich. Emma retired from Buckeye Village Market in 1978 where she was a pastry decorator. She had been previously employed by Frank Peters Bakery on Main Street. Mrs. Cojocar attended St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church. Her passion in life was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Streza of Waco, TX and Mary Jane (Michael) Yukich of North Canton; a son, Jordan (Sarah) Cojocar of Alliance; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Cojocar of Alliance; her grandchildren, Loretta Streza of El Paso, TX, Corey (Sherri) Streza of Waco, TX, William Cojocar of San Antonio, TX, Terry (Barbara) Cojocar of Angier, North Carolina, Christopher (Marjorie) Cojocar of Uniontown, Marisa Yukich of Los Angeles, CA, and Eric (Shelly) Yukich of Stow; great-grandchildren, Nicole and Shannon Streza of El Paso, TX, Jonathan Cojocar of Leesville, LA, Jamee, Jennifer and John Cojocar of Angier, North Carolina, and Emily and Craig Cojocar of Uniontown. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Jordan Cojocar in May 1958; three sons, John Cojocar, Jr., William Cojocar, and infant George Cojocar; a son-in-law, Cal Streza; a grandson, Brett Streza; her parents, Pete and Anna (Kurin) Stefenal; two sisters, Mary Lynn and Valerie Richards; and a brother, Eli Stefenal. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday November 5, 2007 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 10:00 a. m. with the V. Rev. Fr. George J. Treff of St. George Romanian Orthodox Church, officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
