Emil A. Stroia's Obituary
Emil A. Stroia, 88, of Alliance, died on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 12:20 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Alliance on November 25, 1916, Mr. Stroia lived in Alliance until 1955 when he moved to Akron. He returned to Alliance to live in 1999. Emil attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from B & W Research where he had been a supervisor. He was a member of the Christopher Columbus Society and the Roma Society. Mr. Stroia is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Stroia of Alliance; two sons, Richard (Judy) Stroia of Alliance and Gene (Kathy) Stroia of Alliance; and two grandchildren, Kristina Stroia of Alliance and Gene Stroia, II, of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Elizabeth (Budock) Stroia. Private funeral services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht officiating. Interment will follow at Alliance City Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
