Elsie C. Dossi's Obituary
Elsie C. Dossi, 87, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 4:45 a.m. at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana. Born on July 14, 1925 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance all of her life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. Elsie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had previously been employed at Alliance Manufacturing. In her pastime, she enjoyed polka music, polka dancing and collecting Precious Moments. Survivors include her daughter, Jodi (Larry) Burkhart of Alliance; two grandchildren, Jesi (Travis) Moore and Dani (Anthony Amicone) Burkhart; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Henry Dossi on May 27, 2010, whom she married on January 5, 1946; her parents, Battista and Ursula (Vecchia) Bericchia; three sisters, Velma Zucchero, Norma Morettini and Dorothy Baier; and two brothers, John Bericchia and William Bericchia. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Her memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Matthew M. Mankowski, officiating. Entombment has taken place at Highland Memorial Park.
