Elizabeth S. Wolkan's Obituary
Elizabeth S. (Weber) Wolkan, 94, of Tallmadge and formerly of Alliance, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at her home in Tallmadge, Ohio.
Born on August 25, 1930 in Canton to John and Barbara (Skirtich) Weber, she lived in Alliance for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Mt. Marie Academy in Canton.
Betty was co-owner and the director of the Barbara L.Weber Day Care Center in Louisville.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, crafts and gardening.
Survivors include her three daughters, Patricia (Daniel) Fontaine of Williamsburg, VA, Kathleen Clough of Uhrichsville, OH and Lisbeth (Brent) Wehry of Tallmadge, OH; two sons, Joseph (Carole) Wolkan of Ann Arbor, MI and Lawrence (Leigh) Wolkan of Delaware, OH; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers, John (Shirley) Weber, Daniel (Connie) Weber and Thomas (Jan) Weber; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph S. Wolkan, whom she married on September 11, 1948 and who died on April 7, 1999; two sisters, Barbara Butorac and Alice Marie Weber; and her parents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Her Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am, with Fr. Edward Gretchko as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
