Elizabeth Mount's Obituary
Elizabeth Jean Mount, 85, of Alliance, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Born on October 28, 1928 in Alliance, she lived in Alliance for all of her life and was a graduate of Alliance High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Maximo and their Altar & Rosary Society. In addition, she was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post 1036, Ladies Auxiliary. Elizabeth enjoyed working puzzles, gardening & crocheting, but especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Linda Toussant of Alliance, OH; two sons, John T. Mount of Alliance, OH, and Kenneth (Daughn) Mount of Alliance, OH; five grandchildren, Adam Toussant, Tyler Toussant, Benjamin Mount, Rebekah Crowell & Tamara Toussant; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Paul Mount, whom she married on November 11, 1950 and died on February 28, 1990; a daughter, Paula Mount; two sons, Harold Paul Mount Jr., and Ronald Arthur Mount; her parents, Thomas and Nellie (Webster) Maher; four sisters, Eva Maher, Helen Moore, Anna Finn, and Agnes Henderson; seven brothers, Donald Maher, Phillip Maher, John Maher, Robert Maher, Thomas Maher, Charles Maher, and Joseph Maher. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Joseph Ruggieri, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
