Elizabeth V. "Betty" Gulling's Obituary
Elizabeth V. "Betty" Gulling, 87, of Alliance, passed peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Community Care Center in Alliance. Born on February 17, 1925 in Alliance she lived in the Alliance area all of her life. She attended St. Joseph Parochial School and Alliance High School. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and formerly a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. At St. Ann s, she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and was involved in many church activities. In her past-time, she enjoyed sewing, knitting & crocheting, cooking, baking, shopping, but especially enjoyed her trips with her husband on their Gad-About Tours. Survivors include her husband, Harold W. Gulling, whom she married on February 11, 1956; her children, Melvin E. (Dorothy) Young, Jr. of Alliance, Jerry A. (Carol) Young of Louisville, Debbie (Ben) Frustos of Alliance, Denise (Chuck) Biery of Damascus and Lisa (David) Roberts of Canal Fulton; 12 grandchildren, Mark & Mike Young, Jade Young, Brynn Bugara, Addie Peterson, Ally & Cory Frustos, Stephanie Muhleman, Justin Biery & Jenna McLaughlin, Taylor & Jessica Roberts; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mary Haynes, Kathleen Krutel, Veronica Schillig, and Bernice Tournoux; 1 brother, Bernard "Bud" Ottle; and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Preceding her in death her parents, Nicholas and Josephine (Zwick) Ottle; her step-mother, Carrie Ottle; a sister, Theresa VanCamp; and 2 brothers, Robert & Nick Ottle. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Howard Ziemba as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
