Elia Laura Badia's Obituary
Elia Laura Badia, 87, of Alliance, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.
Born on August 10, 1929 in Barisciano, Italy, to Pietro and Rosina (Marinelli) Badia, she lived in Alliance for most of her life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A 1948 graduate of Shadyside High School, Elia was employed at Rodman Public Library for over 40 years.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent Badia whom she married on June 9, 1951; four daughters, Rose Marie (Michael) Konet of Stow, Jo Ellen (Louis) Frost of Hudson, Annette (John) Lusty of Bonita Springs, FL and Connie (Jeff) Rist of Doylestown; six grandchildren, Bekah, Allie, Zak, Matt, Pat and Dan; two great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Albert Badia.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, officiating. There are no calling hours. Entombment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
