Eleanora M. Sankey's Obituary
Eleanora M. Sankey, 88, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at 6:45 p.m. at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Salem on February 10, 1915, she had been a resident of Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Sankey had been employed as a butcher at the former Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Shirley) Schubert and Mrs. Robert (Donna) Metzger, both of Alliance; a son, Jacob Kocher of Damascus; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Smith of Columbiana and Mrs. Daniel (Kitty) Johnston of Canton; and a brother, Albert Button of Alliance. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Sankey on September 28, 1982; and her parents, Brennen and Margaret Mae (Botty) Button. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday, March 28, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, March 29, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Julian Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at the Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
