Eleanor Reda Obmann's Obituary
Eleanor Reda Obmann, 70, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, at 4:55 p.m. at Community Care Center. She was born on December 9, 1936 in Alliance and lived in Alliance most of her life. Upon completing her elementary education at St. Joseph Catholic School in 1950, she then graduated from Alliance High School, class of 1954. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Y.M.C.A. and enjoyed tennis and racquetball. Eleanor was an excellent cook and skilled in the art of crocheting. Prior to her illness, Eleanor was employed by the Carnation Clinic and Dr. Frank Lukez in medical billing. She is survived by her former husband, Vincent Obmann, whom she married on June 9, 1956; a daughter, Sherry (Curt) Moniz of Fair Oaks, CA; a son, Christopher (Jackie) Obmann of Fair Oaks, CA; four grandchildren, Julie, Christie, Rachel and Sydney; two sisters, Mary Houts of Los Alamitos, CA and Gerry (Ken) Ewing of LaMirada, CA; two brothers, Gene (Betty) Reda of Alliance and Louis Reda of Whittier, CA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceding her in death was her parents, Joseph and Luigina (Paese) Reda; a brother, Judge Frank Reda; and her grandmother, Mary Paese. She will be dearly missed by all. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
