Eleanor Jane Johnson's Obituary
Eleanor Jane Johnson, 98, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 3:35 am at Bel Air Senior Living Community in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on September 24, 1923 in Pekin, Ohio to Grover C. and Chloe (Crowl) Yant, she lived in Alliance most of her life.
Eleanor was a member of First Immanuel United Church of Christ.
She is a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #296, Past President of Search Light, served on the Advisory Board of Rainbow Girls and is Holder of Grand Cross of Color. She served many years for the Stark County Board of Election Polls.
Survivors include her son, Richard (Vickie) Johnson of Alliance; two grandchildren, Scott (Carolynn) Johnson and Leigh (Lee) Hoskinson; one great-granddaughter, Brenna; and three nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband Karl D. Johnson, who died on June 11, 1992; her parents; three sisters and a brother.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
