Elaine J. Harp's Obituary
Elaine J. Harp, 64, of Alliance, died on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 5:59 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Alliance, she was born on June 20, 1939. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Maximo and belonged to their Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of the B.P.O. Elks Auxiliary. Elaine is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Harp, formerly of Salem, (whom she married on October 29, 1960); two daughters, Deborah (Larry) Court of Pittsburgh and Dawn Harp of Munroe Falls; a son, Sean (Margaret) Harp of Virginia; two grandchildren, Cathleen and Ryan; her mother, Ioana (Oancea) Hampu of Alliance; three sisters, Violet Journey of Homeworth, Mary Nutial of Alliance, Janice Corbi of Columbiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrie Hampu; and two brothers Andy Hampu and George Hampu. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maximo on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Ungashick as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Maximo.
