Eileen C. Sankey's Obituary
Eileen C. Sankey, 91, of Cleveland and formerly of Alliance, died on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. at Riverview Pointe Care Center in Olmstead Falls, OH. Born on April 23, 1920 in Alliance, was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She lived in Alliance most of her life, moving to Cleveland in 2010. She received her education from Alliance Public Schools and had been employed at the former O Neils Department Store in downtown Alliance and also at the former King s Department Store. Eileen was a loving wife & homemaker and especially loved taking care of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Janice K. Kovitch of Berea, OH; three grandchildren, Jeffery Kovitch, Jonathan Kovitch and Kelly Sankey Fisher. Preceding her in death was her husband, Kenneth J. Sankey in; a daughter, Katherine Sankey; a son, Kenneth Sankey, Jr.; two grandchildren, James Kovitch and Jay Kovitch; a sister, Mary Moser; and a brother, William "Bill" Casey. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Howard Ziemba as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
