Edward W. "Eddie" Stanfield's Obituary
Edward W. "Eddie" Stanfield, 89, of Alliance, died on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 8:40 a.m. at Community Care Center. A lifelong resident of Alliance, Eddie retired in 1981 from Transue and Williams where he had been employed as a die setter. He was Past President of the local Die Setter Union and played for Transue and Williams softball team. He also bowled for U .C. T. Mr. Stanfield was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. (Warner) Stanfield (whom he married July 5, 1958); a daughter, Rochelle Williamson of Alliance; three sons, Robert J. Stanfield of Alliance, Terry Stanfield of Raleigh, NC, and Larry Stanfield of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The last of eight children, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene Virginia (Klass) Stanfield; his daughter, Judith Schneider; his granddaughter, Janice Craig; his parents, James J. and Emma Marie (Naylor) Stanfield; four sisters, Jeanette Palozzi, Florence Springer, Stella Grenier and Arlene Pazelli; and three brothers, Paul Stanfield, Harold Stanfield and Carl Stanfield. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday. July 26, 2004, from 10:00 - 11 :00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 :00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
