Edward W. Frank's Obituary
Edward W. Frank, 87, of Alliance, died on Sunday, May 29, 2005, at 2:50 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Alliance on August 17, 1917, he had lived in the Alliance area most of his life. Mr. Frank was a former farmer and was previously employed at Transue & Williams and at Alliance Electric. He is a member of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Louisville Council. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Mildred A. (Strabala) Frank, whom he married on June 28, 1944; two sons, James (Joan) Frank of North Canton and Ron (Ann) Frank of North Canton; four grandchildren, Christine, David, Denise and Jennifer; four sisters, Sister Helen Mary Frank of Canton, Catherine Skolosh of Alliance, Vivian (Donald) Krabill of Alliance, Marlene (Jesse) Smith of Alliance; five brothers, Bernard (Helen) Frank of Beloit, Richard (Pauline) Frank, Robert (Mary) Frank, Paul (Flo) Frank, all of Alliance, and Harold (Judy) Frank of Homeworth; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rosemary; a son, Raymond; his parents, Otto and Marie (Gulling) Frank; two sisters, Margaret Brown and Rita Resh; and a brother, Art Frank. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Howard J. Ziemba as celebrant. Internment will follow at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery.
