Edward C. Campeau Jr.'s Obituary
Edward C. Campeau Jr., 89, of Sebring, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 10:00 pm at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
He was born on November 1, 1927 in Alliance, to Edward C. and Gertrude (Hines) Campeau.
A graduate of Alliance High School, he also graduated from Mt. Union College and the Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Korea.
Edward retired from IBM as a Senior Systems Engineer and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Sebring.
He enjoyed crossword puzzles and sudoku puzzles in his retirement.
Survivors include two sisters, Jeanne Greenwald of Stow and Susan Packey of Alliance; two brothers, Richard Campeau of Tupelo, MS and Raymond Campeau of North Canton; a special friend, Ramona Strauss; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Neva (Nevison) Campeau, whom he married on June 8, 1953 and died on April 5, 2001; his parents; his brother, Thomas Campeau; his sister, Mary Louise Mayer; and longtime companion, Marian Dodds.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery Chapel, with Rev. Thomas P. Dyer, of St. Ann Catholic Church, officiating.
